Hailing from the steaming jungles of Borneo comes the Tribal Tattoo Warlord of NW Portland, Dave Rodriguez. A veteran piercer of 15+ years, Dave attended college at F.I.T. in NYC before his piercing career. He would often spend all night drawing tribal tattoos on himself with sharpie marker, waking then roommate, Jon Guac, to show off his current designs. He began learning how to tattoo under the tutelage of Philip Millic in SF, and later moved to Portland to be with his son, Indigo, and get licensed in our rainy city. Dave’s knowledge of tribal art and their definitions drives his artistic and technical skills to perform proper traditional tattoos, as well as strong custom design tattoos. Dave also uses vegan materials because he is a vegan of over 10 years and loves vegan muffins.
